The most important aspect of Tech Savvy Agent is using the technology and communicating with the clients using all kinds of technology – weather client is 50 miles away from you (like Attleboro, MA) or 8,000 miles away (in India). Leads received from Realtor.com and Market Snapshots sent instantaneously to these leads is just the beginning. I have my presentations and CMAs published online and emailed the link to my clients even before meeting them. Web commercials with the pictures of the exterior of the home and neighborhood using ‘bing’ or ‘google’ satellite maps are included in these presentations. While showing homes to buyers, iPhone apps like homes.com helps me that no homes are missed in the neighborhood.

Am I the TechSavvyAgent? I believe so. Technology is the tool I use to connect with all my clients. I can proudly say now, “Real Estate is Local” is a myth. Of course, being on facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. and blogging is just the tip of the iceberg.

  45. October 21, 2009 11:48 am

I’ve been part of the computer world since the commodore 64. I have taught tech courses to Realtors, on not just technology, but how to apply it in our daily work environment.

My skills include both apple and pc familiarity, marketing, electronic signatures, blogging, video walk through, iphone apps for immediate information and so much more.

I actually had a tablet pc and stand “in car” with Microsoft streets and trips used to plan property tours and for information on the area. Navigation in car now has become so sofisticated it’s not needed.

I believe the over 40 years experience both Century 21 and I have and the fact that we keep up with new tech for our marketing make us a great team for the Tech Savvy Team. Our Pod cast, blogs, several web sites are all intertwined. New names to this area we are already making our large dent. The buyers no longer want to drive around to find property and are not interested in seeing the sellers agents glamor shot pasted all over signs. Their search begins on line so the sellers should be there. Thank you for the invite

Over 90% of my business is conducted on the computer. Facebook,Linkedin, and of course email. I believe if we are going to be Real Estate Agents in the future, we must understand the future of Real Estate. I have the very good fortune to work for a Broker who believes advertising is the way to reach out for business..not only would I be interested in this program, but everyone in my office would be as well. We are always on the serch for a way to reach out to more customers.
